Santorini is a Great Cardio Workout
The winds dies down today, just a few breezes much like when we arrived.
Most of us relaxed today. I have been intrigued by Skaros, the promontory that you have seen in many of the pictures. Hikers have been going back and forth since we have arrived checking out the formation and the small chapel of Theoskepasti on the other side, out of sight from the hotel. I had to go and due to the cliffs involved made Kim and Sydney (who relaxed at the hotel) very nervous while I was gone. But it was worth it. I attempted to make it to the top however it became a real mountaineering piece of work and being alone decided to go with caution and stop about half way up. But what a workout! Everything here is up, down, up, down. Do not worry how much you eat, need a workout? Take a little walk and you will get it. I was talking with another visitor and he said he was concerned about working out until he arrived here, then he decided the gym at the hotel was unnecessary. Everyday has been a bit of a workout and we loved it.
Tonight we dined at La Maison in Imerovigli, the village we are in. Easily one of the best meals of the trip. Had the Caramelized Octopus for an appetizer, absolutely fabulous. Had to slow Sydney down, she loved it so much.
